Fun things to do with your Raspberry Pi
I love the Raspberry Pi product line and the entertainment it provides to people who want to build projects with hardware, software, or both!
Anyone that really knows my wife, has heard about her passion for birding! So I decided to use it as an excuse to build something with a Raspberry Pi W.
This video will go over all the details on finding an image and writing it to your SD card. Also, she covers some details on camera placement that I had to learn the hard way.
My camera used the same computer components, but pretty much every other part of the build was different.

*This has been my favorite project with Raspberry Pi so far!!
I ended up using Rasberry Pi OS Lite without the GUI and ran a simple python script that starts taking a twenty second video when the sensor is tripped. There is a five second delay before the sensor can be tripped again. Quality of video was good enough to see who has been visiting, but my wife is not going to start a birding webpage from these videos as the quality is a little low. I have no gripe about the video quality because we dont need 500TB of bird footage from our backyard!!

How weird is it that we cruise onto these sites that flash information irrelevant to the page's topic into our face in the name of "advertising"?
